In the case of attack on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, the court handed over the main accused Naveed to the JIT on 6-day remand and the facilitator Waqas on 14-day remand.

Judge Rana Zahid Iqbal heard the Imran Khan attack case in Gujranwala's Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC).

Naveed's lawyer, Mian Dawood, opposed further physical remand, saying that the JIT is seeking physical remand of the accused for political purposes, the weapon recovered from the accused did not match the bullet casings found at the crime scene, the passer-by has filed an FIR. He was made an accused.

The lawyer of the accused said that how did PTI Senator Ejaz Chaudhry know a day before the attack that Imran Khan was going to be attacked, it seems that Tehreek-e-Insaf itself organized this whole incident, did the JIT investigate Senator Ejaz? Meanwhile, the accused sought permission to speak to the court, the accused Naveed said that he has nothing to do with the allegations of the FIR, he is being tortured and 8 more prisoners are also being held by the police, on which the learned judge Said that you should only talk to your limit.

The lawyer of the accused requested the court to meet the wife, children and mother of the accused, which was rejected by the court.

The court passed a safe decision on remand and approved the 6-day physical remand of the main accused Naveed and also handed over the facilitator accused Waqas to the JIT on 14-day physical remand.

The court ordered accused Naveed to appear again on January 9 and accused Waqas on January 17.
